Today Hallie and I made exceptional hamantaschen. We came to the conclusion that it was the butter that made them so wonderful–French butter being truly superlative. Observe:
Out of this world. Then we read Hallie’s dad’s Pirate Megillah, which involved characters called Ahab-suerus and Moby-chai, and included songs like “Dear kindly Cousin Esther” (to the tune of “Officer Krupke”) and “I got the hook right here” (to the tune of “Fugue for Tinhorns,” for Haman the Hook and his two cronies). Lots of fun!
Bisous, and belated chag sameach!
